Hi!
I was just dropping in to look around. Thanks for taking me in when my family
didn't. I've been accepted to start my Master's Degree in education with Liberty
University Online starting this Fall, which I'll be doing while attached to the
USS Theodore Roosevelt as a Nuclear Engine Mechanic. I'll be out of the Navy in
2015, and I plan on being a High School Theatre Teacher. (Who is surprised?
Surely not Mrs. Price!)
Although my first husband left me, I'm not bitter towards marraige and I know
that I wasn't to blame. I have a serious boyfriend and I might actually throw a
big wedding this time...;)

Is there anyone that remembers my father David John Cameron. He was raised at
the orphanage with 3 other brothers. I believe he left the orphanage to go to
the Job Corp in 1968. His last houseparents were Sarge and Mama Franks.If you

the Morgan cottage...and then when they left..i was in the Sheets cottage then I

I am so sad to hear about OB Dunlap. I always loved him and Erma so much and am
so thankful I had them in my life growing up. He always greeted me with a smile
and our "secret handshake" as he put it. He was the most wonderful man I have
ever known. I am so happy that he is no longer hurting and is now in heaven, but
I'm also heartbroken. I saw them in July and couldn't help but cry, which made
him cry, which made me cry even more! I knew it was the last time I would see
him, and I'm so glad I was able to tell him how much he meant to me. There has
never been a more kind, loving, generous, just overall wonderful man! Rest In
Peace OB. I will never forget you.

I graduated from Tipton High School and my grandfather William (Will)Shotts used
to work for the Tipton Home back in I would imagine the 20s or 30s perhaps. He
drove the truck around to pick up supplies for the home.

housemother at the releaf center I want to send a message to the people who were

When I was living in Tipton at the home I use to go to
school there, before we caught the bus there was a house by the front where we
would hang out and there we would play this game of tetris I don’t rember what
it is called because it was dirrent from the other tetris games I played I wish

My father, and his brothers were at the Tipton home. My
father's name was Lee Roy Templeton. Joe Templeton was a younger brother. I
believe there were 3 or 4 brothers there around 1925 on. My father was born in
1918. My mother said there was a book about the Tipton home that mentioned the
Templeton boys. She recently ordered a book about the Tipton home, but thought
the book she had read was different.

Hey all. Well I figured I'd get on here and let you all know what's up. I had
Jamie on Aug 12, 2009 born by emergency c-section. Her heart rate dropped to 30
so they rushed me back. She was 5lbs 4 oz 17 1/2 in. born at 3:25am. She is
doing good but there are some things that I'm worried about so if you all would
pray for us while we go through these hard times I would appreciate it. Love ya

I remember growing up in the Home and how hard it was for me at times because of
the problems that I had. It had nothing to do with the Home, just me being
messed up. I love seeing how the Home has come along and over the years. I

Well..I'm Still In The Home It Really Is A Great place You Learn Obedience but
at the same time your having fun it's helped me alot.There is so many activities
and fun things to do.. Sports,FFA, and Academics. Things to keep you busy and
have your mind on the right things. When I first came to the Tipton Home I had a
REALLY bad attitude and I Didn't think they could help me and they did now I'm
Respectful..and things are better for me now.

Just wanted to say hi to everyone. My brothers Alvis, Steven, sister Cheryl,
and myself lived at the home from 75-80. Cheryl lived with the Goddards in the
Little Big Top cottage and I with the Duesmans in the Big Top cottage and later
with the Horns. I still have the newsletter "the messenger" from our first
couple of months we were there. I'm not sure where Alvis and Steven stayed. Life
is good and God is great here in Mustang.

Well it's been a long time since I've been on here. I'm now pregnant with my 3rd
baby. It's a girl and we are going to name her Jamie. This one has been pretty
hard on me but I'm working through the problems that I'm having. Thing have been
going ok for me and the kids. I will be getting a job after this baby is born in
Aug. Rachel will start kindergarten about the time I am due and Connor will
start pre-k about the same time. I want to make it down there some time soon but
don't know when we will have the money because jobs are hard to come by up here.
I miss all of my old friends there. I still keep in touch with some of you and
for those that want to get back in touch I'm on myspace just look for me. Rachel
will be 5 in Aug and Connor just turned 3 in March. Other then that not much
more has been going on just wanting to get the money up to move out of Ohio
because of there being nothing here. Well just wanted to let you all know what's

Hello from Texas! I was in the Home from 1976-1982. Just thought I would drop in
and see whats been happening. I saw where CLayton Smith has passed. I worked
with him I think 4 out the 6 years that I lived in Tipton. He was very good to
me. He taught me alot and most is still sewn into my heart. He always could tell
when something was wrong or if we had a bad day at school. He would crack a joke
or say something funny and it would make us feel better. I know Clayton and
Irene are united in heaven and are still talking about all the memories of "his
Kids". God bless Clayton and the footprints he left on my heart

Her smile brightened every life, every child, every adult that came through
Tipton Home since 1966. She loved totally and unconditionally. She was

My step-dad, Glen Thornton, was at Tipton for many years in the 40's-50's. I
believe he was brought there at the age of 4, along with a baby brother (Bobby)
and sister (Joann). I guess the would have been in about 1946. He'd been
abandoned, I believe, my his mother and had a father in prison...very sad
stories, indeed. He left when he was 16, moving into Frederick to live with a
family who sponsored him. He was a hardworking, handsome young man.
If you knew him or remember his siblings, let me know. I'm trying to make
something special for him...his birthday is coming up soon!
